Funny you would have to ask that in the first place, huh? In my opinion, due to my personal experience since I was a kid, as a girl and a gamer, you more often than not get a polarizing reaction from guys. You really wouldn't think so, right? But in RL, again, at least for me, I've had more instances than I can count of guys reacting with complete surprise that I played video games and prided myself on it.

Despite the console, it's always a similar reaction: "You play video games? Cool," or, "Wow. I've never met any girls who played [insert game or VGs in gen] before," then there's always, "Here, let me show you how to play..." followed by kicking their behinds, and don't even get me started when we're good and/or can beat them consistently. It's either KUDOS, RIGHT ON, or at the cost of manpride, I MUST BEAT YOU.

Simply, I have the stamp because the reaction is usually shock and awe, or just, "Hey, baby (because it's considered hot), lemme show you how that works." <-- That's meant to be read in a deep, burly man voice, too. ;D

But idk, my friend actually brought it up to me. It wasn't 'til she said something that I actually noticed. :\ I dunno, I guess it's because I don't look at things that way, so if I see that you're a girl, chances are I really don't give a shit. Most people I know are like that. And if I see that you're good, I'd ask you to be my friend, regardless of gender, so that I can be rape-saved in TF2 or Gears. :iconfacepalmplz: Perhaps I'm just a loser.

And ogod I can't stand guys like that. :| You know, the ones with massive egos who are so sure that they're the "Everyman," and must show it off to everyone.



Anyway, you have to admit that it's pretty funny seeing 6 different profiles in the span of a few days that say the exact same thing.
